Getting in behind the generation has been the best technique for nymphing, but getting out in front of the water has been the best for streamers.

We start warming up in a few days. I would imagine we will continue to see medium generation for the next little while.

TROUT BLITZ!
The shad bite has been unbelievable! Sunday was epic! For about a three hour window it seemed like all three of our boats had doubles every time I looked. When the fly hit the water, a big beautiful fish absolutely HAMMERED it! It was maybe the craziest three hours of fishing I have ever seen!

IS THE POLAR VORTEX OVER?

It looks like we’re going to have really mild temps back in the area by this weekend. We are starting to get cranked for the rest of our shad and streamer fishing bonanza over the next couple of months.

Here are some cool pics over this past week on the Little Red. Hope you enjoy!

GET READY!!!

Here are some cool pics from the last week or so. As you can see, we have stayed on some great fishing–even though we have ABSOLUTELY NO WATER! My guide gut says that with snow and ice melt and extended low temps, we should start seeing some sort of generation. If this happens, this fishery should explode for the rest of the winter!!!
