Just a little Super Bowl Spectacular from the White River.
New boots are always awesome…
Especially when it’s been 14 years since your last pair. Orvis, you did a nice job with these. Looking forward to joining them on many rivers.
Fun day off in high water!
If you need tips on how to mend your line, Little Man can help. He also releases his own fish. He’s pretty awesome.
Fish happy,
Kati

With all the generation and flood gate water the rivers are up and rolling. However, for the more advanced caster, there have been some great fish moving for streamers.

NOT GOODBYE, BUT SEE YOU SOON
This one is a little bittersweet. Today, Matt leaves for Colorado as he embarks on a new journey with Yampa Valley Anglers. A little over 10 years ago, Jamie and I decided to grow our little guide service. Matt Millner was our first and only for a few years. He quickly became more than just a guide working for us, but a member of the family. He is Uncle Matt to our kids and a good friend. Wow, how the years have flown by so quickly!
But this is not goodbye. We look forward to working with him and making memories on our annual Colorado trip. He will also come back and guide for us in the fall.
Thank you, Matt, for being a part of our team and family.
Safe travels and see you soon!

Fly-Fishing Podcast: How to Catch Winter Tailwater Trout - Orvis News

LITTLE RED FISHING REPORT 12.29.15
Water flow: very high
Water condition: stained
Visibility: 16 inches
The river is high and muddy after the recent rain event. They’ve been holding back generation and flood gates. I would assume this would continue until flooding downstream resolves. Once water clears, this could provide some great fishing opportunities before they ramp up heavy flows.
