Rouse Team Conejos 2018 was over the top. Love these peeps! Here’s a little photo journal from our adventure (Top to bottom, left to right):
- Photo 1: Wild hair and cheerios. No better way to start the day.
Photo 2: Jordan’s wild brown. We ran around the river through the boulders to net this one.
Photo 3: Hike and fish. Probably one of the hottest days there, but still doesn’t compare to the heat and humidity of Arkansas.
Photo 4: Start them young. Cameron is dodging Harper’s backcast. @rouseflyfishand Little Miss are lighting them up past the bridge.
Photo 5: Intense. PC @rouseflyfish (He paused from cooking our dinner to snap this one.)
Photo 6: Snake charmer. We later saw a similar snake engulf a small trout on the bank.😳
Photo 7: Kinetic sand for the win.
Photo 8: Hammock times are always good.
Photo 9: Squirrel trapper. All ground squirrels were released soon after capture.
Photo 10: The Gang. The only photo of our entire group. ❤️

Good times!!
White River Good Times…
Photos from left to right top to bottom:
1: Kay with a nice one on a chilly day. PC Cameron
2: Lunch time with the St. Louis boys on their annual trip. PC Cameron
3: Putting a bend in it.
4: Fishing what we got.
5: 60 degrees and fun.
Great times as always with Fayettechill! Mo and Sam joined our entire team a few weeks ago for their annual fall photo shoot. It was super to get everyone on the river together. Of course we had a lot of laughs, good fishing and also good weather (except maybe a little too bright for Samjay on day two!).
We wrapped up our time at our favorite taco place. We would go there every day if we could.
Enjoy this gallery from @samjmatthews for @fayettechillco!
Fishing Report 8.28.17
Fishing conditions: good
Water flow: low to medium
Water condition: clear
Water temp at midday: 57 degrees F
Late summer fishing has been great in Arkansas. They have been trimming back generation on the Little Red with the lake being back down to pool and cooler temps across the country. Nymphing is the most productive way to fish.
The White and Norfork Rivers are also fishing well. They are still pumping quite a bit of water out of both. With that being said there are a lot of options with that kind of water.

The weather has been really hot, but so has the fishing. Enjoy the gallery and then get outside. Be sure to hydrate!
Fish happy,
