Rainy days can be some of the best days. On and off the water.

When you find the push, streamers have been the trick. I would imagine we would continue to see daily generation. The river has remained pretty dang clear through the recent rain event. Read full report by Capt. Rouse at https://www.orvis.com/fishing_report.aspx?locationid=5920
Last week, Matt, Tony, and I took off for the Norfork River to do a float trip in Matt’s new little drifter. Man, we had a blast! We decided to spend the day on a new streamer technique. The river absolutely came to life for us. We lost count of the numbers of quality trout that came to the boat. Enjoy! –Jamie
Over the past couple of weeks, we have had moderate generation - just enough to keep most of the crowds at bay. Yet the fishing has been stellar, especially the streamer bite. Take a look at some pics over the last couple of weeks.
This spring is lining up to be unbelievable. The streamer bite has been out of this world. Already seeing march browns. The lake is at pool. If you are not already on our book, you need to be. –Jamie
Today I had Michael and Tom Morgan. Tom is the owner of Apalach Outfitters. Our goal was to rip streamers for the brown variety. We succeeded. To quote Tom: “Best day of trout fishing I ever had.” And I must say, I had a blast myself. Check out some of these cool photos from the day:
Over the past week I’ve had the chance to go fish with my man Hays from Jackson, MS. When we get the chance to fish together, we typically just throw big meat at the big boys. However, we have had such a good bite on nymphs the past week that we decided to get down and dirty with them a little as well. We turned and landed some nice fish on streamers, too. Despite the fact it has been uber windy and super cold we buckled down and got after it! Here are a couple of the fish we were rewarded with! Cheers to the new year! –Matt
